![]() It can generate purchase orders and booking in purchases is quick and painless, with previously booked in items just needing a barcode scan. Reports are numerous (and customisable with JasperReports). It backs up to your dropbox account daily. On the subject of installation, it's not a fussy piece of software, up to recently I had it running on a 15yo PC running XP, now it's on a server running 10, works with pretty much any barcode scanner, serial receipt printer (I haven't tried USB directly but have it plugged through a serial to USB convertor (with port retention - important I believe)) and till drawer. So enough fluff and to a few points that may actually help.Īfter installation (which is a little pernickety but fairly straight forward), actually setting up the EPOS is made infinitely easier by allowing (if the option is checked) new lines to be added on the fly, saving days of work adding a shop's worth of products before even serving a customer. ![]() In fact I created a SourceForge account purely for the purpose of extolling the virtues of this great piece of software and perhaps repay the developer's work in some very small way. I've been using ProffittCenter now for a number of years in a retail environment and can't believe how well this piece of software compares with the other EPOS systems I have used in previous jobs and other free and commercial systems we demoed when looking to install an EPOS system here.
